We stopped to look. Some for the first time...
everyone for the last time.
Perhaps we never paid much attention to skyscrapers, or even New York. Now the whole world is paying attention.
We are seeing more than we want to.
We see landmarks destroyed.
We see people mass-murdered.
We see people falling, jumping, and dying.
And now we are bracing for the blow that we, as a nation, must absorb...war!
A war that will be limited in mission, broad in scope, and long in completion...no shortcuts.
Many have already died...we pray for them.
We know more will die--we pray not many.
