I walk thru these streets of Staten Island with my camera in hand
Hoping to capture some poetry of everyday life

As I walk thru the days shadows and light
I see what will compose inbetween the juxtapose

*snap*
Trees asymmetrical lines draw shadows on the ground
As their leaves dance with the wind towards their imminent death
Nature's ethereal beauty at it's best...

Cars, too many cars
Some new&shiny, some old&rusty, some just there
Don't want...

I walk on...

Flags of various sizes and age waving in the wind -
small to large, old and new
Good ole Red, white and blue undulates my view
Got to take a few...

3 sooooooo cute kittens and their mother on a porch
Their thirst gathers them around a milk bowl
I'll get it next time around...

Time to head down a different street...

Old couple coming out of their house
Breathing in the crisp air, breathing out hello to anyone
A too invasive shot...

A fire hydrant has fallen
As it's friend stands across the way
To cool to pass up...

Clouds drift on / changes sun's position
Will make another walk around

Big white beautiful cat
Stoically sitting on back staircase
What luck...

ewwwwwww
Garbage everywhere
Hiding in the leaves
Too messy...

I head back to my home street...

*snap*
Branches cross at trees roots
Shadows dancing in the light's play
Always a favorite...

Old door begging for a knock
Brick abounds quiet surrounds
I take a picture instead...

I go back to get the family of cats
Nowhere to be seen, all MIA
I passed up a real good one...

I need more interesting shots...

Here's one
Flowers bidding their final farewell
Black, burnt, beautiful turning inwards
Nature's dark beauty captured...

and another
Halloween porches everywhere
Skeleton sitting on chair
Perfect...

ooohhhhh
Nature growing up in an outside stairway
Looks like it leads to Eden
Make sure it's just right...

Looks like I have only a few more left...

wooooooow
A white plastic bag
Contracting, expanding, breathing air in / breathing air out
reminds me of my favorite part in "American Beauty"
Must get a few shots, to get one good one...

bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...last shot taken...Whew!!!
Time to go home, time to retreat indoors
