Tears flow from the depths of my soul
Down, down, down my cheeks they continuously roll
Freeing my entire being and unblinding my heart
    that truly wasn't seeing
Or feeling the pain that was locked inside
Pain that I tried so desperately to hide
By absorbing myself into futile tasks
    or by running so far ahead of myself
    that I could never catch up

Though what a joy my heart did feel
As it was once again filled...
With love's powerful feeling that is as peaceful as a dove

Alas it's time to say goodbye and free myself
    from this dead-end past
Because my heart is finally at peace
At being in love with a man who was out of my reach

But before I go
I would like to extend to you
A heartfelt warm thank you
For opening my heart's space to love's truth
