Miles and miles distant you to my touch,
to the throbbing of my heart.
Weeks and months have gone by,
never bringing you closer.
Smell ...
That warm, comforting aroma
that sprung from your outfits and skin
found me.
I felt you near ... for a brief moment ...
My eyes closed as I inhaled
juicy memories, fantasies of our bold connection.
I could feel you within me ... alive once again ...
stirring hidden passions and dreams I had burried
in the stormy longing of your body wrapped around mine,
the volcanic craving of your faith and devotion to me.
Many suns and moons have come and gone,
yet the fierce fire still flickers
beneath the dead layers of my innebriated blood
and the yearning for your return.
